Welcome...to the West Virginia Baptist Conference Center, affectionately known as Parchment Valley. The purpose of this site is to familiarize you with our facility and its ministry. It is our hope that you find our site pleasing to the eye, informative to the mind, and inspiring to the spirit. Our conference center is situated on 1200 acres of God's country just outside the city of Ripley in Jackson County, WV. In addition to our natural settings, we offer modern meeting facilities, which include many of today's teaching and communication technologies, comfortable housing in both lodges and cabins, all-weather activities facilities, and tasty meals available in our dining facilities.

The purpose of the West Virginia American Baptist Conference Center is to provide a place where individuals may experience the presence of God in His world; to enable persons to meet Jesus Christ and accept Him as Savior and Lord; to facilitate the preparation of persons for service to Christ, His church and the community; to strengthen the Body of Christ as a fellowship and as a mission in the world; and to offer facilities and opportunities for re-creation , fellowship, worship, study, planning, and inspiration to the praise and glory of God.

In accordance with the policy approved by the West Virginia Baptist Conference Center Board of Directors and by the Executive Board of the West Virginia Baptist Convention, we extend the use of our ministry facility to those Christian denominations and related groups, who can and will embrace our above stated purpose statement.

We also encourage the use of our facilities by schools, civic organizations and government agencies that impact the lives of children, youth and the family unit.

Use of our facilities by all groups and organizations outside of the West Virginia Baptist Convention and the American Baptist Churches/USA is subject to the final approval of our Board of Directors or its designated committee. Specific inquiries regarding our use policy may be directed to:
